Tiroler Kräuter Destillerie Increases Sales and Website Traffic

Tiroler Kräuter Destillerie knows that “True and pristine Tyrolean specialties” are loved and appreciated by many people around the world. In the site you can find “your genuine piece of Tyrol” – real Tyrolean specialties – from their own production and of the best and most natural quality: Purest brandies, fruity schnapps, real fruit juice liquors, original Tyrolean Jagatee, soothing herb bitters, clear herbal liquors, the unique and popular ice and fire liquors, and more…

The site is currently available in German, English, Dutch and French. Julia Sacher, part of the e-commerce marketing team, had an interview with ICanLocalize support guru and expressed her willingness to go on using the system. “ICL works very well. It’s the best system I’ve been using, it’s very handy to find translators, talk to them. And the support is really quick and qualified.” she said. They started using ICL to translate the spirits lexicon section and will keep using it from now on.

The site has regular visitors from several countries, many of whom are Dutch. After localization, Julia stated, there was an increase in sales. She also explained: “People stay longer in the site after it’s been localized.” The lexicon section of the site is currently being translated into French, to meet the demand of another important group of fans of “genuine pieces of Tyrol”  – and an Italian version of the whole website is going to be added shortly.

WPML was the multilingual plugin recommended to them by their graphic designer. “WPML is great because you apply one text and with 3 clicks you send it to translation into 3 languages.” Before using WPML and ICL they had to send the file and get 3 files back, put all the languages in one document; now they have a small amount of work to be done. Another advantage, among many others, is that it’s good to see when translations are in progress and add new contents with a simple Add button.
